best milk ever

Did you know, Jerseys produce more nutrients...

Milk from Jersey Cows is unique in many ways. Jersey milk contains more calcium (25% more than other dairy cows) and contains more protein (18% more).  Plus the taste is far richer and sweeter than other dairy cows.

Our herd is pastured all day and all year on high quality pasture , they get to graze naturally, are exposed to sunlight and fresh air, except during extreme weather. The cows have a barn they are free to enter when they want. 90% of their diet consists of Pasture, and 10% dry matter.  We feed our jerseys a certified organic bale-age and kelp.  We also provide our herd access to salt and minerals.

We feed 100% Organic feed to our cows, they also get hay from our own farm, that is grown without harmful pesticides or fertilizers. We believe in raising livestock naturally, holistically, and as organic as possible.

In the State of Virginia, raw milk sales are illegal. We provide cow/goat herd shares.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Unfortunately, in the State of Virginia the sale of raw milk is illegal. Crazy, I know. As farmers, we cannot simply sell our cow's milk. The State of Virginia only allows you to drink raw milk from cows you own, hence why we offer shares in our cow herd, so that you can enjoy clean, unpasteurized raw milk, from happy, healthy, grass fed cows.

Whole shares include 1 gallon a week, and half shares include a half a gallon a week. We provide the jars, and we clean and sterilize your used jars.  We provide you your milk each week for 52 weeks.

An agister simply means, the person who will pasture, feed, maintain, care, control and milk the dairy herd.

Unfortunately, no. Just like one can purchase shares or stock in a company, this is essentially the same concept. When you purchase a share, and pay for your monthly agister fee, you get to enjoy the rewards, by receiving a gallon or half a gallon a week, without having to own a cow.

We offer additional whole shares for $15, with a $15 monthly agister fee. Each additional whole share will receive an extra gallon a week.

We raise AJCA Registered  (American Jersey Cattle Assoc.) Jerseys. Our herd is the offspring of New Zealand Jersey Cattle. In the world of jerseys; New Zealand  jerseys; were bred to produce better milk and higher butter fat all on grass. Not all cows can sustain on a 100% grass fed diet, whereas New Zealand Jerseys, can without affecting milk production.

Raw milk that is handled safely is healthy. As a dairy, our main mission at milking time is bio security, meaning we clean the cows udders before milking, we only milk with clean and sterilized equipment, and we only use clean and sterilized bottles for the milk. As for the health benefits we urge you to head over to The Real Milk Foundation.
